We fit hardtops, tonneau covers and off-road accessories in our RAR-authorised workshop in Budiu Mic (Crăciunești), near Târgu Mureș, Romania. Fitting a hardtop costs from 330 RON, fitting a tonneau cover from 449 RON, and issuing the RAR documents costs 556.60 RON (prices excl. VAT). RAR is the Romanian Automotive Register.
Why have it fitted at Pick-up.ro
- RAR-authorised workshop since 31 August 2010 for building and fitting vehicle superstructures.
- We issue the required RAR documents after fitting (556.60 RON excl. VAT).
- We also fit products bought elsewhere (see the prices for products brought by the customer).
How the fitting works
- Booking: call us on +40 756 087 084 or write to info@pickup.ro. We agree the fitting date together, depending on the product and availability.
- Fitting: bring the vehicle to the workshop, Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00, Friday 08:00–15:45.
- RAR documents: After fitting, we issue the documents proving that the fitting was done in a RAR-authorised workshop, together with the product's type-approval documents. The customer then books an appointment at RAR to have the superstructure entered in the vehicle identity card (CIV).
- Handover: you receive the vehicle with the accessories fitted, and the Pick-up.ro team shows you how to use them.

Warranty
- Hardtops: 2-year warranty, with the option to extend it by 1 more year.
- Tonneau covers: 2 years.
- 30-day right of return under Pickup.ro's internal rules.
Fitting prices
Prices are in RON, excluding VAT (21%), and apply to fitting in our workshop. For work not listed, labour is charged at 190.30 RON per hour.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to fit a hardtop?
Between 330 RON (Alpha / Aeroklas hardtop without electrical installation) and 974.60 RON (hardtop from another range or brought by the customer), excluding VAT. Issuing the RAR documents costs an additional 556.60 RON.
Can I fit the hardtop myself?
It is not recommended. Under Romanian law, hardtops fitted to pick-ups must be type-approved or certified, and the fitting must be done in an authorised workshop.
Do you also fit products bought elsewhere?
Yes. For hardtops, tow bars, winches, roll bars and bed liners we have separate prices for products brought by the customer. For other products, labour is charged at 253 RON per hour.
