Winch mount plate

How to choose a winch mount for the Mercedes X-Class

Model-specific or multi-mount

A model-specific mount stays on the X-Class and is designed for this vehicle only. A multi-mount usually fits into the tow hitch receiver, so you can use the winch at the front, at the rear or on another compatible vehicle. Choose based on how and how often you use the winch.

Winch compatibility

The mount must match the winch's bolt pattern and pulling capacity. Whether you already have a winch or are still choosing one, check the product description to see which winches the mount accepts. Winches for this model are listed under winches for the Mercedes X-Class.

Front bumper and existing equipment

If your X-Class has parking sensors, fog lights or other equipment in the front bumper, this may affect which mount you can use. The other categories for this model are under winches and accessories for the Mercedes X-Class.

Frequently asked questions about Mercedes X-Class winch mounts

Can I order the mount without a winch?

Yes, the mount and the winch are separate products. If you already have a winch, check that its bolt pattern matches the mount. You can ask us to check this before ordering.

Which mount should I choose if I want to use the winch on another vehicle?

A multi-mount lets you move the winch between vehicles that have a compatible tow hitch receiver. A model-specific X-Class mount stays on the vehicle and is designed for this model only.

Can the mount be fitted without modifying the front bumper?

It depends on the mount and on your vehicle's equipment. Fitting details are in each product description. If you are not sure, send us the exact version and equipment of your X-Class before ordering.
