Winch accessories

How to choose the right accessories for the winch on your BYD Shark 6

Most winch accessories are specific to a winch series or model rather than to the vehicle. Before ordering, check the exact model of the winch fitted to your BYD Shark 6 and compare it with the compatibility listed on the product page.

• Control: remote controls and wireless receivers only work with the winch series they are designed for, so choose the version that matches your winch.
• Spare parts: motors, hooks and mounting bolts are chosen by the winch model and part number, which you will find on the winch label or in the manual.
• Power supply: if you use a portable winch mount, the power cabling needs to reach the mounting position you choose.
• Number plate: when the winch or fairlead sits in front of the front number plate, a folding plate holder helps keep the plate visible.

For the winch itself, see the electric winches for the BYD Shark 6; for the rest of the recovery equipment, go back to the winch category or to all accessories for the BYD Shark 6.

We can fit the winch and its accessories at our workshop in Budiu Mic (Mureș County). Prices, duration and warranty details are on the pick-up accessory fitting page.

New products come with the 2-year legal warranty. For second-hand or bazaar products, the warranty terms are stated on each product page.

Frequently asked questions about winch accessories for the BYD Shark 6

How do I know whether a spare part fits my winch?

Find the winch model and part number on the label on the housing or in the user manual and compare them with the compatibility on the product page. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the label and we will check it for you.

Can I add wireless control to a winch I already have?

It depends on the winch series: wireless receivers are designed for specific series and do not fit every model. Check the receiver's product page for compatible winches or ask us before ordering.

When do I need a folding number plate holder?

When the winch or fairlead sits in front of the front number plate. A folding holder lets you fold the plate away while you use the winch; we set the exact position during fitting.
